As an artist, you can immediately upload artwork to Cohart and use artist tools, including the Storefront. However, to sell directly on Cohart, you must become a verified artist. The verification process is important to establish buyer confidence and make high-value sales. We will work closely with you to get you set up!

How do I become a verified Cohart artist?
- First, add a professional profile picture that represents your brand.
- Claim a unique username, which will serve as your personal Cohart URL.
- Provide your address and phone number. These details won't be visible on your profile but are necessary for coordinating shipping when you make a sale or purchase on Cohart.
- Upload at least 3 artworks. These can include pieces that are for sale or previously sold.

Now that I am verified, how do I list an artwork for sale?
When uploading an artwork, you'll find a "Listing Information" section where you can choose between "For Sale" or "Inquire to Purchase":
- If you select "For Sale," the artwork becomes available for direct purchase on Cohart. You'll also have the option to allow potential buyers to make offers. We recommend this option if you're looking to streamline the sales process and reach a broader audience, as it allows collectors to instantly purchase your artwork without the need for additional inquiries or negotiations.
- If you choose "Inquire to Purchase," interested buyers can send an inquiry, and we'll facilitate the conversation between you and the buyer.
Tip:
You can easily change an "Inquire to Purchase" artwork to "For Sale" through your Inventory. Simply locate the artwork and click the "List for Sale" option.
How can buyers find my artwork?
The Cohart Storefront is the ideal platform to showcase your artwork for sale. Learn how to customize and promote your Storefront here.
If you are set-up with a Cohart Storefront and are verified to sell, you will be visible on the Cohart marketplace via search, curated collections, and trending algorithms.
How can buyers pay for artwork on Cohart?
We offer several payment options to make art purchases accessible to everyone. Buyers can choose from:
- Credit or debit card
- Apple Pay
- Klarna's "Buy now, pay later" option (learn more about Klarna in our blog)
