What is exclusive access?
Exclusive access is a way to give your community the first opportunity to view and purchase your artwork, giving your fans a special benefit and creating scarcity for your new work.
When you upload new artwork, you can choose to notify your followers and collectors through email or push notification, letting them know they have 48 hours to check it out before it becomes public.

Upload button, there will be 3 choices:- Do not notify: If you select this, your artwork will be published and visible on Cohart immediately, and your community will not be notified.

How does “Notify community” or “Exclusive access” works?
When you choose the options “Notify Community” or “Exclusive Access,” a list of your followers and collectors will be displayed. You have the flexibility to select all users from both lists or search for specific individuals by name.
Additionally, you can include a personalized message to provide context about the artwork, share your insights, or express your thoughts on the piece.
Once you’ve crafted your message, you can preview how the email notification will appear before finalizing your upload. Enjoy connecting with your audience!
How are the 2 upload options different?
When you choose the “Notify Community” option, your artwork will be instantly visible on Cohart upon upload. Your selected audience will receive both an in-app notification and an email with a direct link to your new artwork.
If you select “Exclusive Access,” your followers and collectors will receive a push notification or email to the artwork, but the artwork will not appear on your profile, storefront, or on Cohart for 48 hours. While the link isn’t searchable, it can be shared with anyone and they do not need to be logged in to see your artwork. This is great for sending via text or WhatsApp to others in your community.
If your exclusive piece is purchased within this 48-hour period, it will be marked as Sold and will then be made public on Cohart. It will appear in the collector’s profile, and both you and the buyer will go through the standard Cohart checkout process, all while enjoying a low commission fee of just 5%.
FAQs about exclusive access
Does a user have to be logged in to see the artwork?
No, anyone with access to the link can see the artwork, and they will see the exclusive access banner as well. Share this link directly with anyone in your extended network to give them the special opportunity to purchase first.
Can I edit or delete an exclusive access artwork?
During the 48-hour exclusive period, you can still edit or delete the artwork.
Can I choose to show the exclusive access artwork on my profile?
Not during the 48-hour exclusive period. Your artwork will be automatically shown on your profile when
- The 48-hour period is over, or
- Someone purchased your artwork during the 48-hour period.
How can I add more collectors to receive these updates?
