What are Private Views?
Private Views are curated selections of artworks that sellers can create and share privately with their buyers. These views are personalized to match a buyer's unique preferences, allowing sellers to highlight specific pieces that align with the buyer's tastes or needs. Learn more.
What is Shared With Me?
The Shared With Me feature allows you to access and view Private Views that sellers have shared with you via Cohart. Whether you’re a buyer or a curator, this functionality makes it easier to explore personalized, curated collections of artworks, tailored specifically to your tastes and preferences.
How do I view Private Views shared with me?
In your sidebar, click on the More
option and select Shared With Me
. If a seller shared a Private View with you via Cohart, you will see it appear in the Shared With Me list.
A Private View shared via Email or via Link copy will not appear in this list.
How do I manage Private Views shared with me?
Once a Private View has been shared with you via Cohart, it will appear at the top of the list with a New
label to highlight. The list is ordered by last created time.
Each Private View record shows its information, including:
- When the Private View was created
- Who created the Private View
- Number of artworks included in the Private View
For each Private View, you can a ···
menu that include these options:
- Remove from list: This action cannot be undone and you will need to have the original sender re-share via Cohart to you for it to show back up on your dashboard.
- Copy link to private view
While you don’t have the ability to modify the Private View itself, you can manage your access to it in a few ways:

Bookmark the Link: To easily access a Private View later, you can bookmark the link in your browser or save it somewhere for quick reference. The link will remain active as long as the seller has not removed it.

Save to Your Moodboard: You can save artworks from a Private View to a moodboard, in order to not lose the artworks and keep track of pieces you’re interested in or considering purchasing.

Request Modifications: If the seller’s curated collection doesn’t fully meet your needs, you can reach out to them and ask if they can adjust the Private View to better fit your preferences.
FAQs about the Private View and Shared With Me Feature
What is the difference between a Private View and a public gallery?
A Private View is a curated collection of artworks shared specifically with you by a seller. It’s a personalized selection based on your preferences. A public gallery, on the other hand, is open to anyone and typically contains a broader range of artworks not tailored to individual tastes.
Can I share a Private View that has been shared with me?
Yes. You can forward or share a Private View link with others.
Can I modify the artworks in a Private View that’s been shared with me?
No, you cannot alter the content of a Private View. Only the seller has the ability to curate and modify the artworks in the view. However, you can contact the seller for adjustments or a new selection if needed.
Can I access a Private View after it’s been shared with me?
Yes, you can revisit a Private View any time as long as the seller has not deleted or removed the collection. If the seller removes the Private View, the link will no longer be valid.
Can I purchase artworks directly from a Private View?
Yes, if the seller has included purchase options in the Private View, you can buy artworks directly in the Private View.
How do I know if I have a Private View waiting for me?
You’ll be notified via email or message when a seller has shared a Private View with you. The notification will include the link to access the curated collection.
What happens if I delete the link to a Private View?
If you delete the email or message containing the link, you will no longer have easy access to the Private View. If you need the link again, you can contact the seller to request it.
