What happens after I have made a purchase?

Congratulations on making an art purchase on Cohart! Here’s a friendly guide to what happens next

The purchase has been updated in your Dashboard and Purchases, and in your Cohart profile under Collection. You should have also received an email from us confirming the sale. Here are the next steps:

  1. Delivery method:

    If you selected shipping: We'll collaborate with the artist to ensure your artwork is carefully packed and shipped to you. You'll receive tracking details via email once it's on its way.

    If you opted for in-person pickup: We'll work with you and the artist via email to coordinate pickup arrangements and confirm the address.

  2. After the artwork has been shipped, or if the pickup is underway,

    You will receive an email update, including a link to your digital Certificate of Authenticity. Open the link in the email to add the certificate to your mobile phone wallet (learn more here!)

  3. Show off your Certificate of Authenticity with friends!

    If they sign up via the referral link in your certificate, both you and your friend will each receive $100 worth of credits that can be used towards purchases on Cohart.

How can I keep track of the shipping progress?

Head to your Purchases page to view the order’s details. If the artwork has been collected by the courier and is on its way to you, the order’s status should read “In Transit.” Click on the tracking number to view updates from the selected courier.

What if my artwork breaks when I receive it?

If your artwork arrives damaged, please inform us within 48 hours of receipt or pickup, and we will facilitate the return process. Beyond this initial window, kindly contact us via email, and the artist may offer assistance with repairs or guide you to a reputable restoration company as appropriate.

Can I cancel a purchase?

Yes, but please inform us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a purchase. You cannot cancel a sale after the work has been shipped or picked up.
