Fees & Payments Policy
Sellers may be charged for using some of Cohart’s services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains your fees and taxes and how to pay them.
This policy is a part of our Terms of Service. By opening a Cohart storefront, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Use.
Types of Fees
Sellers may be required to pay the following types of fees. Please note that all fees are listed as exclusive of any value-added tax (VAT) or similar taxes that may apply. See the Taxes section below for further details.
Commission Fees
Cohart takes a 5% commission on sales. For Verified Artists, we give the first 3 months free of commission fees. If a Verified Artist doesn't make at least 3 sales in the first 3 months, we extend our no-commission offer up to the 3rd sale at any point in the future.
Shipping Fees
Cohart charges a flat 8% fee on domestic shipping and a 10% fee on international. Cohart facilitates all shipment coordination with artists directly, creating shipping labels on a case-by-case basis once the buyer has submitted their payment.
Duty and tax
- Cohart will assist with preparing customs declaration forms, but the buyer is responsible for paying any customs duties or VAT as applicable based on the shipping destination.
- Cohart will furnish the seller with the appropriate income tax form at the end of the year if applicable. We encourage sellers to be aware of any self-employment or income tax requirements they may be subject to.
